Lecture for Health & Technology

H&T lecture presentation

This week, I gave a lecture for the minor Global Health and Quantified Self at the Hanze University. The lecture was part of the ‘Health & Technology’ module and was an introductory lecture about influencing behavior, habits and lifestyle using digital health tools. After defining these, I discussed existing theories on behavior change to set a precedent. The promise of technology to complement existing approaches to behavior change was then discussed, as well as how persuasive design and behavior change techniques determine the characteristics that make a technology effective (or not). The sheets are available on SlideShare:
